How To Distinguish PVC Steel Wire Hose And PU Steel Wire Hose?

At present, most of the steel wire hoses used by customers to transport plastic particles are made of PVC or PU materials. Many customers do not know the difference between these two materials and do not know whether to choose PVC steel wire hose or PU steel wire hose. The difference between PVC and PU raw materials is actually very simple.

1. The elasticity of PVC is less than PU, so the recovery after stretching can be verified, and the two can be discriminated and compared. PVC steel wire hose is added some other substances, so it’s more slippery; the hose of PU is more viscous and elastic.
2. PVC hardens and becomes brittle in cold. If the hose is PU, it has good flexibility, so it will not harden and become brittle.
3. In the combustion test, PVC will emit green smoke while PU will  emit black smoke. The smell of PU is  lighter than that of PVC.
4. Seen from the edge of PU steel wire hose, the PU hose bottom is generally plush, thick and soft to feel. And PVC hose bottom is thinner, hard to feel.
